What is Bacne and How Can You Prevent it?

If you haven't heard of Bacne, you're in the minority. Bacne - or "back acne" - is a hated problem by many teenagers, adults and young adults. Many individuals would do absolutely anything to get rid of this unsightly problem, and they regularly do try to do everything in their efforts to eliminate it. but what really works and what doesn’t work? In this article, I’ll explain some of the basics of back acne, or bacne.

What is Bacne?

Bacne means "back acne" and occurs in the same individuals normally prone to acne on their face. Acne, which can come from a variety of sources and has yet to be fully understood by dermatologists, is connected to genetics, hygiene, climate, temperature, and skincare products, and can be equally affected by all of the above. If you have bacne, however, you will undoubtedly feel ashamed with wearing revealing shirts or bathing suits, and you are surely eager to get rid of the ailment as soon as possible. But what are the ways that you can first address bacne, and what are the ways that you can ensure that bacne will stay away forever?

Getting Rid of Bacne

Acne is far from being completely understood, although there are a few key things that are known to contribute to on-going acne, and are known to specifically contribute to back acne or other body acne in general. Combined with genetic predisposition, proper hygiene is of the utmost importance, and sweating or rubbing of sweaty clothing is a sure reason for creating acne or making existent acne worse. If you are in a situation of consistently spending time in clothes post-exercise, this is one of the first areas you want to try and fix in aiming to get rid of back acne or bacne.

Additionally, addressing bacne or back acne has to do with properly caring for and cleaning the affected areas. On the back, the best option is to use an antibacterial soap or specific cleanser for your back acne, blackheads, or whiteheads (what you would use on your face normally). Then, you want to treat the area with the same types of treatments you would use on your face (either Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide, for example),

Ultimately, remembering that the causes and reasons for back acne or bacne are no different than for regular acne, you can aim to address the problem swiftly and achieve results in a timely manner. This is key to getting you in that swimsuit without shame this season!
